2nd Saturday Family Fun
The 2nd Saturday Family Fun Club is the founding roots of the Emerald Family Down Syndrome Network. So this group is very near and dear to our hearts. The group was formed around families getting together on a regular basis to see our kids grow and develop.
Over the winter break the EFDSN Board made the decision to discontinue our 2nd Saturday group based on low attendance. We spent time going back to our mission and goals to determine our next step. One area we realized we had not fully supported was new families to the Down syndrome diagnosis. We could better use our resources to start up a Baby/Toddler monthly support group.
We are excited to share that we have two moms who have stepped up to help us start this group. The group is to support families who have a child under the age of 5 born with Down Syndrome.
